For the 2009 collection, Dept thrives on new ideas and fresh influences. The collections feature jumpsuits, sporty dresses and flowy tops. 80’s influenced shapes hustle with functional sports styling with a survival touch. Loose fit trousers, sporty 3/4 pants, relaxed training gear, skinny leggings… in Green Flash, Brilliant Blue, Skylight and Tomato next to sturdy basic colors such as Steel Grey, khaki and Black. Print explosions: Fashion and art collide in an explosion of painterly prints and modern, abstract, ethnic prints. Wildlife, jungle influences and cruising, nautical influences mix, and outsize prints prevail.
