EIBTM 2007

Visit London in EIBTM 2007

Visit London at EiBTM: A bigger stand with a diverse partner representation to showcase the best of London for events and incentives. As the official visitor organization for the UK capital, Visit London's role is to help create and deliver inspirational events.

EIBTM 2007 guests will have the opportunity to experience London as the ultimate exciting destination for events and incentives. The Visit London stand, number G110, will host several of London’s tourism businesses, giving visitors the chance to explore options for their next events or incentive trips with a diverse range of unique venues and professional service suppliers.

Visit London will launch its European incentive promotional campaign at the show and will highlight the number of distinctive activities that can be organized in the city for an inspirational team building session. A special treasure hunt that will encourage Hosted Buyers and visitors alike to visit the stand in order to discover more about London is being developed.

As a taster, visitors to the stand will be able to take part in unique sporting competitions on a Nintendo Wii ranging from a game of tennis in Wimbledon to golfing on the challenging 18-hole Hampton Court Palace Golf Course. The best player will win the Nintendo Wii.

Visit London’s stand partners will provide guests with a more interactive and informative view of the city’s offerings. They will illustrate that London’s inspirational venues and services can make any request possible with the end result unique to London. Confirmed partners to date include: Radisson Edwardian, Radisson SAS Portman and Park Inn Heathrow, Novotel London West, Barbican, Hilton, Brocket Hall, Royal College of Physicians, Park Plaza Hotels and Resorts, Mango Event Management Ltd., ExCel London, The Cumberland/Royal Horseguards/Tower Guoman, Competitive Edge, HRP, London Duck Tours, Science Museum, Millenium Gloucester and National Maritime Museum. More will be announced as EIBTM approaches.

Stand features will also include a large focus on Meeting Professionals International’s 2008 European Conference as pre-registration will be opened for the conference. London is to host MPI’s European Conference in April 2008 and a key factor in the selection of London as the host destination was the easy accessibility that the city can provide to international and European guests.

Barbara Jamison, Visit London’s Sales Manager Europe, says: “Last year we had a very successful show and we are aiming to improve our results for EIBTM 2007. Our stand, with its diverse partner representation, will deliver inspiration for all buyers as well as providing them with some exciting news about major events taking place in 2008 in the city. Our aim is to highlight the wide range of activities that can be organized in London for incentives and this is the first step of our roll out plan for the launch of our European incentive promotional campaign. At the same time, we are working on a unique proposition for MPI’s European Conference and encourage everyone to secure their place early for a truly unique event.”

Visit London will once again have a sustainable stand by using environmentally friendly options whenever possible.
