It all started in 1985 with a young businessman who had a secret dream and a life long interest in Art and Marketing.
Beginning life as a small independent tile company, Viva then merged with the Emilceramica group (one of the major producers of porcelain floor tiles and white body wall tiles), before becoming a well-established commercial entity.
The volume of sales is around one and a half million square metres per year.
The main markets are traditionally European which are almost considered as the "home" market.
Philosophy
How to explain, in just a few words, the spirit that drives a company such as Viva, declaring itself from the start happy to be different.
In these passing years, which have flown by happy and uncomplicated pursuing ever changing tastes, as elusive as Captain Ahab's whale. But this continuos evolution is well suited to those whose aim in life is a continuous quest for something special.
Only original has always been our motto.
At Exhibitions we have enjoyed presenting things that the customer and passer-by looked at with incredulity, only then to find one year on, (and often evident on other nearby stands) the confirmation that our suggestion, first seen as risky, have become more widely acceptable and are confirmed objects of desire.
We have always wanted to make something more than just a tile, the sign of an active spirit in an avid culture.
We are proactive and inquisitive and therefore creative.
We love a challenge.
We look at things from different angles and we are not bound by convention. In the end, we are less interested in what we have already achived but the hope of finding a new avenue around the corner sustains our enthusiasm.
