SIMO e-life 2007 aims to become an annual point of reference for the video-games sector throughout Europe

This initiative enjoys the backing of Madrid City Council, through its "Madrid Tecnología" Programme, due to its objective of familiarising the public with new technologies

SIMO e-life 2007, the main event devoted to digital entertainment for the non-professional public, will take place at Ifema between 8th and 11th November. This will be the third edition of e-life, the second to be staged within the framework of SIMO.

This year, SIMO e-life will work in conjunction with the leading forums and companies within the video-games sector, with a view to becoming an annual point of reference for the industry in Europe.

In the words of the Head of SIMO e-life, Tomás García, "in preparing for this edition, we have worked alongside the main leaders within the video-games sector, including both manufacturers (software and hardware) and the specialised communications media, with whom we share the goal and aspiration of consolidating the role of SIMO e-life as an annual meeting-point between the industry and its consumers".

This objective coincides with the need expressed by different leaders within the sector to stage an event devoted to video-games in Southern Europe and, more specifically, in Spain. According to Santiago Quiroga, the Head of SIMO, "the consolidation of SIMO as the second most important European fair for the industry and its considerable appeal, based on the attendance of nearly 300,000 visitors at each edition, provides
e-life with a solid platform for the presentation and promotion of products and an opportunity to play a leading role within the world of digital leisure and video-games".

One of the main new features at SIMO 2007 e-life will, no doubt, be the spectacular area set aside for GAMES, enabling visitors to not only discover the latest new features in the video-games industry, but also try out the latest developments.

The GAMES area will not only bring together a number of professional players, but any members of the public who may wish to participate, given that a team of experts will be happy to advise them and facilitate their access to the latest new video-game features.

Those who attend SIMO e-life 2007, in addition to viewing and trying out the latest games, will also be able to purchase all of the new features on show at the event.

SIMO e-life is a meeting-point that has emerged in response to the need for members of the public to discover and familiarise themselves with the new technologies, both in order to make the most of their free time and to enhance their quality of life.
