50th anniversary AWFS®Fair growing at record-setting pace
Association celebrates anniversary with largest trade show in its history
The Association of Woodworking & Furnishings Suppliers (AWFS®) is preparing to celebrate its 50th anniversary in style, by hosting the most successful AWFS®Fair to date. As of July 31, exhibitor enrollment for AWFS®Vegas, July 18-21, 2007, is well ahead of prior events as exhibit space sales are tracking 24% ahead compared to the same time period preceding the 2005 event.
“Our event has become an industry leader, paving the way with innovation, technology and momentum. Exhibitors have picked up on this momentum and are reserving more space earlier in the year,” said Angelo Gangone, Vice President, Tradeshows, AWFS® .
The 2007 Fair will be housed in the Las Vegas Convention Center, with over 500,000 net square feet of modern show space, well-suited to an international trade fair.
In addition to offering more exhibitors than any other show in its 50 year history, AWFS® is proud to have been selected as only one of 43 trade shows accepted in the Department of Commerce (DOC)
International Buyer Program. The association will be working closely with DOC offices throughout the world in helping to bring more international buyers to the 2007 show, as it looks forward to adding to the 134% increase in international attendance that AWFS®Fair experienced in 2005. AWFS®Vegas combines the largest exhibition of woodworking hardware and machinery, board and panel products, upholstery material, wood components, supplies, services and new technologies in North America with unmatched networking opportunities and the finest professional educational conference in the industry. Founded in 1911, AWFS is the largest national trade association in the United States representing companies that supply the home and commercial furnishings industry.
