CeBIT 2008: Beyond all platforms - Krämer Automotive

CeBit 2008: Krämer Automotive will present standard software and operator interface for notebooks, CarPCs, Ultramobile-PCs and mobile navigation devices. All-purpose! Krämer Automotive will present a software platform at the CeBit in Hannover, which can be used with all mobile computers as well as navigation systems.

The package of CarPC-software CPS and the new navigation software Route-Commander makes it possible to use various systems as car computer and high-end multimedia, office and navigation control centre. Controlling the devices will be realised through the CarPC-Software CPS designed by Krämer Automotive. The software will be supported by Windows XP/Vista/Mobile© system software and can, thereby, be integrated quickly and uncomplicatedly. Thereby, the software can be scaled from the comprehensive version for the mobile computer to the point of an optimately suited version on small mobile computers. The consequent arrangement of software on touchscreen technology and speech operation allows homogeneous and clear structures and is well suited for CarPC-Systems, UMPC, PDA and mobile navigation devices.
The connection of CPS to the navigation software Route-Commander offers a reliable and effective software solution and is especially designed for use in vehicles. The functional User-Interface of the CPS works in the foreground of the windows surface. All functions can be controlled by the CPS surface, control through windows is no longer necessary. Thereby, the software especially guarantees an intuitive operation suitable for the car.
Basic functions of the CarPC-software are navigation, the integration of Bluetooth-Mobiletelephone, radio, music, outlook data transfer with diary, address data and mail as well as a description of vehicle data. Differences only occur through the possibilities of respective hardware.
In addition to basic data, the Route-Commander-software offers comprehensive possibilities for mobile navigation. Adjacent to the sketch and transmission of the GPS-Position the software disposes of manifold speech functions. These cover the announcement of street names in deviant national languages. The address announcement per language makes usage more comfortable and contributes in addition to safety in road traffic. New map material from Navteq©, cross-national door to door navigation and TMC get you quickly and safely to your destination.
Krämer Automotive will present its standard software platform at the CeBIT for the first time to a professional audience and the interested public. The CeBIT will take place from 04. March until 09. March 2008 at the German Exhibition Centre in Hannover. Visitors can try out the software at Stand No. B13 in Hall 15 or download as a test version under www.kraemer-automotive.com.
