CeBit 2008: Etasis presents its novelties

CeBit 2008: ETASIS is one of the leading suppliers of standard switching power supplies. Founded in October 1996, ETASIS grew steadily, quickly acquiring a strong reputation for its high standards of quality and reliable products. Our research & development, engineering and marketing teams ensure that we stay in the lead by making sure that our products consistently meet and exceed the ever-changing needs of our customers.

ETASIS ELECTRONICS™, a leading technology owner of high efficiency switching power supplies, officially announces EFN-500 has been certified by 80 PLUS®, an innovative, electric utility-funded incentive program used to integrate more energy-efficient power supplies into desktop computers and servers. This power supply comes with fully compelling features providing extremely high efficiency with only 0dB noise for HTPC and silent PC design.
"We are on the road to 85% efficiency." said Ken Lu, CEO of ETASIS. "EFN-500 is the first Fanless power solution got high efficiency award in the market. This is actually a very strong challenge to reach high efficiency without FAN cooling, but ETASIS made it." With a perfect thermal design, the EFN-500 provides highly efficient AC/DC power conversion while running at 0dB noise.
An Efficient power supply directly saves 85 kWh per desktop PC per year, and 300 kWh per server per year. The Upgrading to computers with 80 PLUS power supplies will reduce building cooling loads, and saves utility fees while improving power quality with high power factor that reduces current draw by roughly 50%, which means that up to twice as many computers can be placed on the same branch circuit.

Etasis unveiled EFAP-S601 today. This power supply comes with fully compelling features that are compatible with latest SSI EPS1U standard. The high output power satisfy almost 95% 1U server's market and provides very high stability, high quality, and high performance for most of current server's applications.
EFAP-S601 integrates high output, high efficiency, and high power density into the smallest dimension. In a small 100(W) x40(H) x250(L) box, the power supply offers highest efficiency (>80%), highest power density (9.87w/in?) among all 1U 600W products, and almost 48A on +12V output rails.
"ETASIS always challenges the industry with best performance" said Yiren Li, Chairman of ETASIS. "With ETASIS's innovative and cutting-edge technology, EFAP-S601 sets the industry milestone and will be the best server power solution for server market". According to a performance research, EFAP-S601's excellent performance reaches the top of the industry, leading the industry trend from now on.

Dual +12V EPS1U 8 Pin Connectors
To meet new power requirements for next generation of server products, a second +12V 8 Pin connector is added in product specification. More DIMM memories and powerful CPUs are supported through this way. EFAP-S601 will satisfy 95% 1U server market in 2008.

Taipei, Taiwan - December 31, 2007 - ETASIS ELECTRONICS™, a leading technology owner of redundant switching power supplies, officially announces EFRP-2753 for high performance server market. This power supply comes with fully compelling features saving more spaces for its high power density with reliable hot swap capabilities

High Reliability, High Power Output
EFRP-2753
is targeting high performance application, running critical storage and database tasks. The non-stop operating power provides high level reliability with high power output and efficiency. Hot swapping, instead of cold swapping, is the process of inserting and extracting a power supply module from an operating power system. During this process the output voltages shall remain within the limits specified in regulation with the capacitive load, and system should run stably without any warning or halt messages while doing hot swapping. "Redundant power supply is the core technology of ETASIS", said Ken Lu, CEO of ETASIS," IT demands more power running in server for high performance needs. Customers from internet is accessing to servers 24 hours a day, so enterprise can not suffer anything wrong within server. That's why high output redundant power supply exists".
ETASIS follows industrial standard making 750W redundant power supplies, which can be fitted in all the 2U chassis. The short length design provides more spaces for motherboard, hard drives, and thermal modules for high end server.
