FIMAP/ FERRALIA shows sector news

The Secretary of State for Industry inaugurated the exhibition, chatting to different entrepreneurs about their views on the sector, the market and the approach adopted by the State

FIMAP/FERRÁLIA, an exhibition on machines, accessories and components for the wood sectors, ended last Saturday, the 14th of October, having received a total of 16 340 visitors.
The exhibition, which was spread over about 15 thousand square metres, was officially inaugurated on the 11th of October by the Under Secretary of State for Technology and Innovation, António Castro Guerra. The minister visited the exhibition and spoke to various entrepreneurs, who expressed their confidence in the future and said they were currently selling more which, in the words of António Guerra, means that “the path of our growth is encouraging investors”.
About the exhibition, the Secretary is of the opinion that it is “a happy combination of equipment and applications” and the best place to “find first class equipment, and to exchange information and knowledge”. The message left by the Secretary is that “we have everything to gain from reinforcing the wood industry market”.
For the exhibitors, the Fair was a success, since their aim is not to “do business, but rather to present new products and ideas”, as was pointed out by José Araújo, from Verjo. This opinion is shared by the manager of Marjo, who adds that “as such, this exhibition is very important, because even though it’s biennial, it still has a huge impact on the sector”.
