Canal Viajar: the official television channel for Fitur 2007
FITUR and Canal Viajar have renewed their collaboration agreement, which means that this Spanish channel, a pioneer within the travel and tourism sector, will once again be the fair's official television channel.
Throughout the year, Canal Viajar has provided information regarding all of the events relating to the staging of FITUR, thus ensuring wide-spread coverage of FITUR both before, during and after the fair. Thus, the channel will produce a Special Pre-FITUR Programme in which Ana Larrañaga, the head of the fair, will provide detailed information regarding the event: new features, objectives, participation, figures ... The Programme will also interview Fernando Conte, the Chairman of the FITUR Organising Committee.
Throughout the course of FITUR 2007, which is due to take place between 31st January and 4th February, Canal Viajar will broadcast a live programme that covers the official opening ceremony on Wednesday 31st January, among other events. Furthermore, the theme channel's cameras will cover many of the other main events that are due to take place during the course of the fair, both on the days devoted to the trade (31st January to 2nd February), and on the weekend, when the fair will open its doors to the general public.
Canal Viajar's programmes can also be followed on the two plasma screens that IFEMA, the organiser of the event, has set up at the two entrance-points to Feria de Madrid (the North Gate and South Gate), as well as on a giant screen that the fair organisers plan to set up at the entrance to one of the halls at the fairground.
Once the fair has concluded, Canal Viajar will produce a video summarising all of the most interesting aspects of the fair.
The Canal Viajar-FITUR Stand, located in Hall 5, will feature a studio set where interviews and reports can be carried out. The stand will also report on the programme of activities that is due to take place each day and provide comprehensive information regarding the tourist industry.
