Fitur and Anestur sign a collaboration agreement

FITUR and ANESTUR, the Spanish Federation of Tourism Schools, have signed a collaboration agreement that will commence at the next edition of the International Tourism Trade Fair, which is due to take place between 31st January and 4th February 2007.

The aim of this agreement is to familiarise tourism students with the profession, offering them an insight into the current state of the market. In this respect, both FITUR and ANESTUR will help to promote and foster measures that boost tourism teaching, thus guaranteeing the quality and future success of Spain's leading industry.
The FITUR-ANESTUR Workshop has been designed to facilitate and promote meetings between the best students on tourism courses, chosen previously from among all of Spain's State-run and private bodies that impart tourism teaching, and companies from the tourist sector participating at FITUR.  These two sides will arrange various meetings and interviews within the framework of FITUR´07, with "ANESTUR using all its resources in order to guarantee the best and most impartial selection process when it comes to choosing candidates", according to Mercedes Carreño, President of ANESTUR. Job opportunities will thus arise for the students participating on the programme, whilst the companies taking part at the fair will profit from a more efficient and cost-effective selection process.
The Spanish Federation of Tourism Schools is delighted to be able to carry out this project within the framework of FITUR. It is an idea that has been successfully implemented in other countries and "will enable the participants at the fair to make the very most of their investment at the event by offering them a new service, bringing together the heads of human resources at the industry's leading companies with the most outstanding students at tourism training bodies throughout the whole of Spain", states Mercedes Carreño.
