GIBTM Partnerships Announced

The Gulf’s biggest DMC and 9 Hotels to be associated with GIBTM

GIBTM, part of Reed Travel Exhibition’s (RTE) growing portfolio of global meetings and incentive events, taking place from 13th – 15th March 2007 in Abu Dhabi, has announced a number of partnerships for the event.
Arabian Adventures, part of the Emirates Group of companies, has been appointed as the DMC and will provide all ground transportation arrangements for Exhibitors, Hosted Buyers and Visitors. Arabian Adventures is the largest DMC in the region handling 360,000 clients a year and has been the pioneer in the development of incentives and special events in the region.
Nine official hotel partners have been secured offering four/five star accommodation to Hosted Buyers and GIBTM participants during the regions peak season when the event takes place. These are: Beach Rotana, Crowne Plaza, Emirates Palace, Hilton, InterContinental Abu Dhabi Le Meridien, Le Royal Meridien, Millennium, and the Sheraton.
Etihad, the national airline of Abu Dhabi will become the event’s official partner airline and ADTA (Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority) will be a further alliance.
The event will take place at the ADNEC (Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre) the new venue which officially opens in December 2006. Upon final completion, ADNEC’s new venue will include 57,000 square meters of gross exhibition floor space, a 21,000 square meters visitor concourse and 7,500 square meters of multi-purpose halls. It will also feature dedicated conference facilities for 1,200 people, 30 high-specification meeting rooms and an 8-outlet food court.
GIBTM is based on a high quality appointment driven Hosted Buyer programme, and will feature outstanding business-to-business opportunities, essential networking and professional education.
This inaugural event is set to showcase international meetings and incentive suppliers from national tourist organisations, destinations including national convention bureaus, hotels and hotel groups, destination management companies and specialist service providers representing the Gulf region, South and South East Asia, Europe, North Africa and beyond. Joining them will be a global visitor audience including hundreds of fully hosted high quality buyers from regions such as Europe, Africa, Asia, and the United Arab Emirates.
