The Promotional Gift Award (PGA) is an international competition which honours innovative and pioneering promotional products that is conducted annually by WA Publishing Ltd. in Cologne.
This communications award is unique in the promotional products branch and can be used by the award-winning products as a profiling tool.
The prize-winners can distinguish themselves from their competitors – essential for today’s providers and users in a market that is flooded with products.
Relaunch
Founded six years ago, the level of recognition of the Promotional Gift Award increases from year to year also among the industry users of promotional products. The Award has established itself in the meantime.
In accordance with its increased significance, the PGA was relaunched last year oriented on the future. The new striking image of the competition is underlined by a new logo, a new slogan and by an incisive layout.
Decision-making process
A professional jury assess the submitted products. Products that fulfil the requirement profile of a modern, strongly communicative promotional product in an excellent manner will be awarded prizes.
In order to avoid judgements made on individual tastes, the jury members will receive a catalogue containing assessment criteria such as design, haptics, impression, diversity of the application area, additional functions, value for money ratio, packaging and attractiveness.
The number of awarded products depends entirely on the quality of the items submitted. The judges can also award prizes to several articles in each category.
Publicity
The winning products will be displayed under www.promotionaward.com for the duration of the entire year.
In addition, the industry customer can view the winning products in each issue of Promotion Products, the trade magazine for network marketing.
The Werbeartikel Nachrichten provides this service twelve times a year for the promotional products distributors and the European distributors receive this information six times a year in the English-language trade magazine, Eppi, supplemented with the Eppi Italia in Italian language.
The award-winners will be presented to a broad trade audience in a special exhibition among others at the Pro 8 Show in Amsterdam in January 2008 and at the Promotion World in Hanover in April 2008.
