Hanseboot 2008: 49th Hamburg International Boat
Hanseboot 2008 will be celebrated at Hamburg Fair site and hanseboot harbour from 25 October to 2 November 2008.
Hanseboot reinvents itself – with more interest and excitement, more choice, and with more new specials. The 49th Hamburg International Boat Show will for the first time be held in all eleven halls of the New Hamburg Trade Fair
Hanseboot 2008 will be opened from 25 October to 2 November 2008, whereby seven of these halls are completely new. The 800 or so exhibitors are using a total of some 82,000 square metres of hall space, that is about 5,000 square metres more than last year. There will be numerous boat premieres, international innovations in outfitting and accessories, and a varied range of special features and infotainment, giving visitors more hands-on, direct experience of watersports than ever before. The big yachts will be moored in the hanseboot harbour at Baumwall again, within easy reach thanks to the shuttle bus service from the fair site.
The new “hanseboot arena” in Hall B5 appeals to all the senses in a series of performances running throughout the day. The focus of the event centre is a show platform right next to the hanseboot basin, which is larger than ever before at 15 by 20 metres. It will feature talk shows, interviews and prize giving ceremonies. And this is where the commentaries will be given on the various fun and watersports activities in the basin, such as match races and model boat sailing.
And Hanseboot 2008 gives not only more to do and see, but also new services, making it easier for visitors to buy tickets and travel to the fair.
