25th Anniversary
The first Hotel, Restaurant and Community Equipment Exhibition took place from the 23rd to the 26th October 1981.
After creating this new exhibition, Fira de Barcelona cancelled the former Hogarotel and created another new exhibition, Expohogar. Hostelco opened up a new era for the Restaurant and Hotel sector and it became a major contribution to the modernisation of the sector in Spain.
The strong links between the Exhibition and the sectors it serves have fostered their parallel growths. Holstelco has incorporated new sectors and, year after year, it has shown an increase on the Exhibition’s surface area, as well as on exhibitors and visitors, both from Spain and from foreign countries.
Today, Hostelco has become a benchmark in Europe for companies in the Restaurant and Hotel sector that are interested in new products and services.
The 25th Anniversary will host different events and activities and Fira de Barcelona will be celebrating, not only the Exhibition’s consolidation as a European point of reference, but also the success of Restaurant and Hotel professionals that have grown together with it.
