International Gift, Jewellery and Fashion Jewellery week will inaugurate the two new halls at Feria de Madrid

The Distribution of Space throughout 12 Halls Facilitates a New Exhibition Layout at INTERGIFT, IBERJOYA and BISUTEX

The next edition of International Gift, Jewellery and Fashion Jewellery Week, which is due to take place between 13th and 17th September 2007, will be the first trade event to be staged at the two new halls at FERIA DE MADRID. This injection of new space will form part of the event made up of INTERGIFT, the International Gift Fair, IBERJOYA, International Jewellery, Silverware, Watch and Related Industries Exhibition, and BISUTEX, the Fashion Jewellery and Accessories Trade Fair, thus facilitating a new layout and improving the presentation of the exhibits at all three fairs.

In effect, International Gift, Jewellery and Fashion Jewellery Week is the largest trade fair among all the events included on the IFEMA calendar. Featuring an average participation level of 2,100 exhibiting companies and a net exhibition area measuring more than 100,000 square metres and welcoming around 85,000 trade visitors at each of its two editions a year, this fair constitutes one of the most representative forums for the consumer goods industry in Europe.

The incorporation of Halls 12 and 14 means raising the gross exhibition space at the exhibition centre by 50,000 m2, increasing its capacity to 200,000 square metres. Visitors will also find a new access-point, known as the East Gate, accompanied by extensive parking areas. These two unique spaces will enhance the functional capacity of the Madrid exhibition centre, consolidating its leading position on the European fair circuit.

Hall 12, which measures 14,400 square metres, consists of an entirely diaphanous building measuring 17.5 metres in height, which makes it a space with enormous possibilities for staging all kinds of events in addition to fairs, including sports competitions of all kinds.

Hall 14 features two floors, each measuring 14,400 square metres, with a free height of 11 metres on the first level and a free height of 9 metres on the second floor. The second floor level presents a stronger soldering load resistance (up to 1,500 kg/m3) than initially planned, which means that it can be used for the same exhibition purposes as the rest of the exhibition units. Furthermore, Hall 14 has a basement area that features a direct access-point to an external area measuring 5,500 square metres in order to facilitate the loading and unloading of merchandise, as well as providing back-up for the hall's second floor area with four elevator units.

The distribution of International Gift, Jewellery and Fashion Jewellery Week throughout twelve halls will facilitate an improved layout and the renewal of the sectors that have made up the event to date. All of these new changes will be based on the solid foundations that the event has managed to construct over the course of 52 editions. This much is reflected by the fact that INTERGIFT, IBERJOYA and BISUTEX have only witnessed changes of this kind due to specific and strategic factors that have helped to strengthen the Week's image and boost its trade activity.

.The New Layout Respects the Identification Codes of the Participating Products and Companies

International Gift, Jewellery and Fashion Jewellery Week is about to undertake a new stage in its history that will enable the fair to present a layout that is more in tune with the development of the supply-side groups its represents, respecting both the essential identification codes of the products themselves - quality, design and presentation - as well as the strength of the participating companies. This new space distribution will lead to changes in stand size and enable companies to take part at the event in their correct location.

In this respect, IBERJOYA, one of the three exhibitions that makes up the Week and an event that perfectly represents the jewellery industry, will move to Halls 12 and 14 (ground floor). This double exhibition space will be linked by a connecting area measuring 50 m2 x 30 m2 and feature direct access via the East Gate. The new exhibition layout will seek to place special emphasis on exclusive jewellery design and creation and the value-added concept of fashion. The exhibition will revolve around four sections: Haute Joaillerie and Silverware; Time-pieces; Commercial Jewellery and Silver, and Related Sectors.

BISUTEX will also preserve its unique identity by moving to Hall 7, bringing together all of the latest products under the headings of fashion jewellery and accessories.

In the case of INTERGIFT, the largest of the three exhibitions, this event will be organised around 7 sections, presented throughout 10 halls. The main change will consist of the fact that the sections traditionally presented in the even-numbered halls at the exhibition centre will now be presented in the odd-numbered halls, and vice versa. Thus, the new layout will entail the following changes:

Concepto Decoración ("Decoration Concept") will now be called ATMOSFERA ("Ambience") and will increase its participation levels in accordance with the strong demand on the part of companies from this sector. This section will now move to Halls 2, 4 and 6.

.Mesa y Menaje ("Tableware and Kitchenware") will be presented in Hall 8 under the new heading of MESA VIVA ("The Living Table")

.ELEMENTOS DECORATIVOS ("Decorative Items")  will move to Hall 10, but retain its traditional name.

.Selección Textil ("Textile Selection") will remain in Hall 1, but now be known as TEXTIL ("Textiles").

.Fantasía y Diseño ("Fantasy and Design") will be located in Halls 3 and 5, now featuring under the heading of FANTASÍA ("Fantasy")

.REGALOS DIVERSOS ("Miscellaneous Gifts") will retain its original name, but move to Hall 9.

As a new feature, the fair will create the section known as CAPRICHOS ("Caprices"), which will bring together those products hitherto presented under the heading of Unique Objects, alongside other gift items characterised by their sense of opportunity, appeal and design, not to mention the newly incorporated companies offering products that correspond to the former Decorative Items section. CAPRICHOS will be located on the Second Floor of Hall 14, which links directly with Halls 4 and 6 by means of raised connecting passageways that cross all three halls.
