Light + Building 2008
Light+Building 2008 already almost fully booked up
Registrations received from 80 percent of exhibitors expected
Market leaders from all three product segments represented
With around nine months still to go before the doors open, Light+Building – International Trade Fair for Architecture and Technology – is almost fully booked up. Messe Frankfurt expects around 2,100 exhibitors to take part in the fair from 6 to 11 April 2008. Around 80 percent have already taken advantage of the early-booking rate and registered. "The good economic climate in the sector is reflected by the high demand for exhibition space at Light+Building, which is also confirmation of the concept of the event as an association of trade fairs", says Dr. Michael Peters, Member of the Board of Management of Messe Frankfurt. Today, it is already certain that Light+Building 2008 will once again bring together all market leaders from the interdisciplinary fields of lighting, electrical engineering and house and building automation. In terms of internationality, the provisional figures are already on a level comparable to those of the last event when over 50 percent of exhibitors come from outside Germany. The closing date for registrations for Light+Building 2008 is 6 July 2007. Light+Building 2006 in Frankfurt ended with an unexpectedly large increase of 16 percent in visitor numbers. Altogether, 135,294 visitors passed through the turnstiles. 2,139 exhibitors presented their latest products and innovations on an indoor area of 226,293 square metres (gross).
