Wide-ranging participation of the toy industry at the next edition of multi-product selection - toys

The fair will bring together an entire range of products for children and young people in Hall 1 within the new thematic area known as Toy Selection

To date, a total of 200 companies have confirmed their participation, occupying a net exhibition area measuring nearly 14,000 m2.

The toy industry accounts for16% of the exhibition area contracted so far.

A total of 200 direct exhibitors have confirmed their participation at MULTI-PRODUCT SELECTION - TOYS 2007, the fair organised by Ifema that will stage its sixth edition between 24th and 26th May at FERIA DE MADRID.  As part of its progressive strategy to diversify and reorganise its exhibition, the fair will significantly increase the representation of companies from the toy industry and will present a new exhibition layout throughout its two halls, based on the incorporation of a differentiated section for the toy sector.

Thus, the fair will introduce its new section known as Toy Selection, which will bring together an entire range of products for children and young people in Hall 1. This sector is extremely dynamic and highly innovative, featuring prominently at multi-product sale-points, which make up the vast proportion of the trade represented at this event, alongside large superstores and retail outlets. The incorporation of Toy Selection will help to boost the presence of purchasing departments at the fair and will lead to an improved layout for all the different sections at the fair, thus offering visitors a more convenient overview of the exhibition as a whole.

So far, a total of 25 companies have confirmed their attendance at this exhibition, including companies of the stature of Boys Toys, S.A.,  Giepool Internacional, S.A., Globolandia, Josman, Juguetes Falomir, S.A., Juinsa, Montichelvo, Nici Ibérica, Taller de Muñecas, S.L ... With still two months to go before the staging of the fair itself, this participation means that 80% of the exhibition space set aside for Toy Selection has already been reserved, whilst nearly 16% of the total space available at the fair as a whole has already been contracted.

Toy Selection will include an enormous range of products, among which visitors will find the latest new games, board games, teaching games, puzzles, Meccano, cars, tractors, dolls, teddy bears, disguises, outdoor games such as balls, kites, blow-up toys, etc., and a number of original gadgets, as well as an entire repertoire of ideas specially conceived for school, such as stationery items, school material, school bags, sports items....  In addition to catering for the imminent summer sales campaign and consumer demand for items to be used during free time, leisure-time, at summer camp, etc., this comprehensive showcase will provide professionals with an opportunity to plan for other periods of strong trade activity: September, with its Back to School campaign, Halloween, Christmas, New Year and Carnival.

This strong business interest corresponds to a market situation conditioned by the development of distribution outlets and new consumer habits. This represents a trend that breaks away from the rigidities of a sector that simply addresses a single sales season, effectively catering for the growing demand for these kinds of goods at any time of the year.

Decoration and Home Furnishings: Two Traditional Sections at the Multi-Product Selection Exhibition

Another of the most important dimensions at Multi-Product Selection  corresponds to decoration, home furnishings and, in general, household equipment and gifts. This fully consolidated part of the exhibition will bring together an extensive range of products in Hall 3, items that feature excellent quality and a highly competitive price-tag, presented by the leading manufacturers, wholesalers, importers and exporters, as well as a large group of foreign companies.

Foldaway furniture, household furnishings, artificial flowers, photograph frames, pictures, vases,  bed linen, bathroom and kitchen items, etc., make up an entire catalogue of goods that have a high turnover, based on their daily use and the need to equip second homes. This extensive range of mass consumer products will be completed with a series of ideas and new features under the headings of travel items, hygiene products, cleaning products and all kinds of DIY tools and hardware.

An Increasingly Diversified Exhibition in Line with Consumer Needs

In line with the growing level of diversification within the market, the exhibition presented in Hall 3 will showcase an entire spectrum of new designs in fashion accessories, clothing, leather goods, fashion jewellery and cosmetics and beauty products, not to mention ideas aimed at covering the needs of the summer sales campaign. In this respect, the fair will present an endless range of souvenirs and items

linked to swimming, the beach, camping and free time, along with a number of original products made of plastic, such as blow-up toys, bags, flip-flops, beach chairs, etc., all of which are ideal for summer. The ongoing capacity of the multi-product industry to renew its products and deliver them quickly to retail outlets means that all of these items will soon be available at sale-points along the Spanish coast in just a few weeks, offering an immediate response to the latest changes in the distribution sector and to consumer needs.

In this respect,, the staging of  MULTI-PRODUCT SELECTION 2007 provides professionals with an unbeatable opportunity to incorporate innovative new products into their showcases, based on the added value of being able to find a multiple range of different prices and ideas, encompassing all sectors linked to the field of consumer goods.

Traders and gift shops will also be able to plan for their Christmas campaigns, thanks to the extensive variety of Christmas decorations, lights, Christmas trees, nativity scenes and decorative figures on show at the fair. This edition will also enable professionals to anticipate demand by selecting a series of products and ideas for sale periods that are becoming increasingly important, such as Halloween and Carnival. A range of masks, wigs, accessories and items designed for company parties, private parties and end-of-course celebrations will complete the range of products on show at the next edition of  MULTI-PRODUCT SELECTION.
