Ofitec 2008: Ofitec presents the latest in furniture for the contract segment

OFITEC '08, the International Trade Exhibition of Office and Contract Furniture and Equipment, will take place between 26th and 29th February at Feria de Madrid, presenting an extensive range of furniture products designed for use at the facilities owned by group concerns. The companies attending the fair have witnessed considerable development in recent years, the result of the diversification and segmentation of their products and services aimed at the contract sector. The main source of innovation within this field is based on the introduction of new technologies and the change of mentality that is taking place within society.

At the fair we will come across versatile armchairs featuring a variety of finishes in terms of upholstery, techniques and colours. Sofas, chairs and tables, including both centre tables and office desks, will come in numerous sizes and offer different finishes in wood, aluminium, varnish and layered format. With regard to colours, the extensive range adapts to the client's tastes and stands out, above all, for its high quality and versatility.

One of the products that visitors to OFITEC will be able to admire is the Sleight Ultralight Table from the company, BRUNNER.  This is a collapsible, modular table that stands out for its extremely light build (it weighs 50% less than the tables that currently exist on the market), which makes it an ideal product for congress centres, seminars and areas where different furniture configurations must be created on a frequent basis.

The company, VILAGRASA, will attend OFITEC with a collection of large-capacity and transparent rubbish baskets. These baskets facilitate the monitoring tasks of the security services, avoiding the possibility that they might be used to conceal explosive substances or apparatus. They have been specially designed for areas through which a large number of people habitually pass.

The company, ACTIU BERBEGAL Y FORMAS, has designed the PLEK Line, a programme consisting of collapsible chairs and collapsible and fixed tables. This cutting-edge and highly practical solution can be adapted for home use as well as to the facilities owned by group concerns.

The Bionic Collection from INDECASA has been designed for interior environments, consisting of a chair and the same model with arms, various revolving versions of these two chairs, a chair with a small incorporated writing-table, a bench offering between 2 and 5 seats and a new table that has been designed in the same aesthetic style as the rest of the collection. For the chairs, a seat and back-support set has been created in two separate parts, which are fitted to a smelted aluminium structure. The legs are made of square-section aluminium, offering a convex finish in order to create a lighter and more personal appeal. This collection is ideal for all kinds of contexts, ranging from group concerns to hospitality environments.

The exhibitor, FERFOR, will present the Box Series, a line of chairs that stands out for their design and innovation. The original composition of these designs, materials and forms plays around with established values and breaks the traditional mould. The provocative design of these items arouses both the admiration of the most avant-garde observers and the criticisms of the most conservative commentators.
For its part, TAGAR will propose four new collections characterised by their combination of creativity, quality and design. The Cubic Collection consists of a programme that incorporates chairs, stools and tables, all based on a square-tube painted chrome steel structure. The chair consists of a seat and back-support made of polypropylene, with the diversity of colours facilitating corporate interaction and offering the possibility of creating fun arrangements in all kinds of facilities. The stool has a thick upholstered seat that is extremely comfortable. The Space Collection consists of an armchair and a table in an extensive range of colours, with the added possibility of upholstering both the seat and the back-support. This line has been specially designed for hotel lobbies, bars, terraces, gyms, office waiting-areas, airports, etc. The Zen Collection exudes a sense of elegance, based on the simplicity of its forms. The range is presented in a wengue shade and offers three structure finishes (chrome, black and grey), highlighting the shiny screw-work that becomes a feature as it attaches the seat to the back-support. This collection offers a sense of style and modern appeal, as well as being highly practical for any use at group concerns or within the home. Finally, the W@p@ Collection is highly exclusive and ergonomic, given that multiple combinations can be created and the collection presents an extremely comprehensive range of items: chair, armchair, stackable stool and bench, all featuring a chrome steel tube structure or the same structure painted in textured grey. It also offers the possibility of combining the seat and back-support in various different colours and finishes: varnished, laminated, plywood and aluminium.
