Premiere Classe September 2007

The international fashion accessory trade show, 1 to 4 February 2007 has recorded an increase of 14% in frequentation with 15,370 visitors.

Complementarity of men’s and women’s fashion.
Who’s Next and PremiEre Clase, brought together in two halls - 3 and 4 – recorded a combined frequentation of 48,092 entries. 15,370 of these were visitors who came to see Première Classe which thus shows an increase of 14% compared with February 06.
Distribution by country of the 47% of overseas visitors.
The February session is particularly favourable to European frequentation and with 72.7% it shows an increase of 11.4% compared with February 06. The constant progression of Italy 17.8%, Spain 10% and the United Kingdom 8.4%, repays the operations organised directly in these countries by the trade show, through various events (exhibitions, product launches, openings, etc) at key moments in the fashion world. Première Classe thus stimulates markets with strong potential for accessories.
America maintains the same frequentation rate of 5.2 % while Asia moves up to 20% (18% in September 06) in spite of a slight decline (-1.4%) in frequentation of Japanese visitors at 13%. Korea, which had seen the number of its visitors increase, boosted by the theme of the trade show, revolving around 120 years of Franco-Korean relations, has managed to maintain the same level.
Repercussions of an aborted winter 06.
Buyers over-stocked in boots, gloves, scarves and hats came to look for something new, products stylish enough to stimulate sales. The collections with a strong design and an established style benefited from this demand, with some brands exceptionally extricating themselves in a globally gloomy business climate.
Establishment of a sector devoted to leather.
At the heart of the trade show, the grouping together of 140 specialist leather brands (shoes and bags), confirmed its validity at a period which up until then had been given over to textiles. Specific accessory purchases gradually progressed during the season, becoming a reality of the Porte de Versailles. Without actually increasing the number of participants, so as to refine its selection, Premiere Clase wants to convince accessory manufacturers of being capable of bringing something a bit new from the very first sessions of February and September.
The tables of the Nomad’Lounge became a real expression of fashion
The famous fashion altars innovated in September 06 and re-used as twelve tables dedicated to men’s accessories, met with universal approval from both visitors and exhibitors alike. A drastic selection enabled discovering new designs (Ursul, Cloud 9 Cases) and highlighting the specificity of the already established brands (Alexandre Mareuil, Jean-Baptiste Rautureau, Il Bisonte, etc).
This interactive formula of tables, born from the discovery of craft industry know-how which made up the first Nomad’Lounge, imposes a new way of exhibiting. The next session at the Porte de Versailles will see the development of this new type of very didactic and striking world for the buyers.
From Thursday 6 to Sunday 9 September 2007, at the Porte de Versailles, PREMIERE CLASSE Summer 08 will once again unite in hall 1 with all of the Who’s Next worlds.
Exercise in style.
The Canterbury rugby balls reinterpreted by twenty-five celebrities from the world of fashion, design and art, before being sold at the auctions in aid of Premiers de Cordée, (an association which shows the value of sport for hospitalised children) are continuing on their route via a few international exhibitions.
