More than 300 companies specialising in fashion jewellery and accessories will present their latest new features at BISUTEX, the Fashion Jewellery and Accessories Trade Fair, which will stage a new edition in Hall 8 at Feria de Madrid between 18th and 22nd January. An exhibition area measuring nearly 8,000 square metres will host this grand showcase, offering a complete overview of the latest new ideas in designs, colours and materials. At this unique exhibition, creativity and innovation go hand in hand with fashion.

BISUTEX - January 2007 will once again feature the participation of the leading Spanish manufacturers and importers, prestigious international brands and an expanding group of foreign companies, all of which will provide visitors with a comprehensive overview of the latest new features on the market, both under the heading of fashion jewellery and accessories. Throughout its 40 editions to date, this exhibition has become one of the most important points of reference on the international inter-seasonal circuit, as well as one of the main forums for the dissemination and promotion of new trends. On this occasion, the BISUTEX exhibition will provide a preview of the fashion jewellery and accessory collections for Spring-Summer 2007.
Organised by IFEMA, the fair will present the best of each of the different segments it covers, all of which are connected to the world of fashion: fashion jewellery, glasses, belts, scarfs, watches, modern hats, adornments for the hair, etc... an extremely wide range of ideas characterised by their exceptional quality, design, fresh appeal and creativity.
Combinations of materials will be one of the most significant trends.
Under the heading of fashion jewellery, visitors will find a number of cutting-edge and innovative collections that are easy to wear on any occasion, being appropriate for daily use or for evening-wear and special occasions. We will discover a series of sophisticated, sensual, elegant and versatile designs endowed with considerable personality One of the star themes at this edition will be the interesting combinations of materials. Everything will be perfectly combined, as if we were dealing with a cocktail: silver, leather (plain, interwoven or in interlinked), glass, enamel, mother-of-pearl, linen...  and natural gems (tourmalines, topazes, citrines, amethysts, peridots, turquoises, etc) with which to create the perfect symphony of light and dazzling appeal. We will also observe a clear tendency to use brownish shades, ranging from beige to chocolate, the entire range of fuchsias, lime, orange, red and the entire range of blues, without forgetting classic black.
Rings, earrings, bracelets and pendants will be of generous volume, based on a continuation of the oversize trend witnessed at previous editions.
Watches will be an indispensable accessory, both in minimalist styles and in steel designs, or in more striking designs produced in the entire rainbow range, for both men and women. We will also find creations that recall small works of art, made of glass and multi-coloured gems.
Some fashion jewellery companies will present exclusive collections aimed at men which include original pieces such as bracelets made of ebony and silver and necklaces made of sea sand and natural stones. All of these sober designs will present a fun and flirtatious touch, designed for men today who are as integrated into the world as fashion as women are.
A cheerful, bright and clear image will imbue next spring-summer in the form of metallic and golden reflections on all kinds of accessories, especially bags and small leather items, where gold and metal are destined to play a prominent role.  Sizes will vary as much as consumers' tastes.
Dresses and tunics will also come to the fore, in shades such as blue, green, orange, brown, pink and eternal white, all of which will be complemented by small touches in sandy shades.

As far as patterns and prints are concerned, we will observe a clear interest in flowers, stripes and small details with spots and Vichy checks, sometimes boasting a retro appeal that recalls the 1960's. All of these designs will be based on a search for a subtle and casual sense of elegance.
In the same way as at the last edition of the fair, all of these new trends will be brought together at the BISUTEX Trends Area, a unique showcase located in the centre of the hall which will highlight the designs, colours and aspects that most strongly characterise the new collections.
BISUTEX will take place at the same time as INTERGIFT, the International Gift Fair, and IBERJOYA, the International Jewellery, Silverware, Watch and Related Industries Exhibition, three leading events in their respective sectors and all staged exclusively for the trade. Together, these fairs will bring together the products and services of more than 2,200 exhibiting companies. BISUTEX will be open from 10.00 a.m. through to 8.00 p.m., except for the last day of the fair, when it will close at 6.00 p.m.
