Iberjoya january 2007 renews its date with the fashion world

Over 500 exhibiting companies, both Spanish and foreign, and an exhibition area measuring some 17,000 square metres, will reveal the buoyant character of a creative industry that is constantly renewing its products.

IBERJOYA, the International Jewellery, Silverware, Watch and Related Industries Exhibition, will stage its thirtieth edition between 18th and 22nd January, 2007; this edition is especially important in terms of enabling the trade to organise the first half of the year and prepare its sales campaign for the spring/summer season.
Organised by IFEMA, IBERJOYA January 2007 will consolidate its position as one of the most important international points of reference  for the industry and the main meeting forum for the jewellery industry in Spain. Over 500 exhibiting companies, including Spain's leading companies and 150 international companies, will reflect the buoyant character of a creative industry that is constantly renewing its products, throughout an exhibition area measuring some 17,000 square metres, distributed between Halls 8 and 10 at FERIA DE MADRID.
The IBERJOYA contents will present the most comprehensive overview of trends in haute joallerie, featuring classic lines and designer pieces, as well as the latest fashion jewellery, pearls, precious and semi-precious stones in all their variety, new collections from the leading time-piece brands and the most up-to-date ideas in silver-ware, including both modern and traditional versions. This extensive showcase will also present new features for related industry, such as advanced machinery and technology applied to jewellery production processes, jewellery boxes, decoration, window-dressing and all aspects that enhance product image.
Another of the characteristics of IBERJOYA  is its progressive campaign to promote the idea of fashion as an important factor in terms of competition and product differentiation. In this respect, each edition presents the renewed efforts of the exhibiting companies to present the latest collections, designs and ideas to the market, all of which have been fully adapted to the most innovative trends of the moment. Furthermore, the organisers of IBERJOYA  promote the link between jewellery and fashion with a number of high-profile activities, such as the Trends Fashion Parade which is staged at the September edition, and the Multimedia Trends Presentation, which will take place at the January edition.
For the forthcoming edition, the new jewellery and watch-making lines will offer an original and seductive appeal, based on the use of pearls and large-sized gems and a diverse range of different colours. Colour will be one of the star themes of the Iberjoya-January exhibition, where visitors will be able to see a number of elegant combinations designed to suit all tastes, focusing in particular on a blend of lively and bright tones.  Nature will be a central theme and source of inspiration for numerous pieces for the spring-summer season, as will a new generation of jewellery items of considerable volume imbued with a strong sense of movement. At IBERJOYA the strong fashion component in this range of products, combined with the considerable diversity and quality and exceptional design of these pieces, attest to the performance of an increasingly dynamic industry that is prepared to boost consumption with considerable doses of creativity.
Furthermore, Ifema's growing consolidation on the international stage guarantees a business and promotional forum that is highly valued by exhibitors and visitors in two senses. First, the growing foreign participation figures, based on 140 companies at the last edition attending the fair from Germany, Andorra, Belgium,  China, France, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Mexico, Poland, Portugal and Turkey, enable buyers to gain a convenient perspective of the most outstanding products and trends of the main jewellery producing companies. Second, under the heading of foreign visitors, the fair enables them to make contact with new markets and clients, within the very best working environment. At the last edition, Iberjoya recorded the attendance of 1,595 buyers from 53 countries.
In terms of supply and demand, IBERJOYA is a highly attractive proposition and provides an ideal vehicle for discovering new trends within the industry and within the distribution sector, not to mention the latest tastes and trends in Spain. The fair also represents a strong form of support for the export trade.
