SICI 2007: Paolo Boffi brings italian design and innovation to SICI

SICI, the International Integral Kitchen Exhibition, organised by IFEMA and promoted by AMC (The Spanish Kitchen Manufacturers Association) will host the staging of a series of conferences on Friday 19th October, a programme that will culminate with the participation of Paolo Boffi.

The owner of the well-known Italian kitchen furniture manufacturer of the same name, will conclude the conference programme with his presentation entitled "From the American Kitchen to the European Kitchen: 50 Years of History Through Innovation and Design".

 Italian design within the kitchen sector continues to lead the industry in Europe and, little by little, Italian manufacturers are beginning to open up new markets. In this respect, the veteran businessman will expound upon his highly original vision, in his capacity as an Italian manufacturer within a market at the very forefront of international furniture.
 
Room N107, located at the North Entrance to Ifema and featuring a limited seating capacity, will provide the venue for a series of events throughout the entire morning:

• 10.00 a.m. - the presentation of AENOR Seal certificates to kitchen furniture manufacturers who have earned the AENOR "N" Seal.
• 11.30 a.m. – Ms. Amparo Roca de Togota and Mr. Germán Esparza, the Project Management Heads at AIDIMA, will explain the characteristics of the specific international information exchange standard for furniture.
• 12.10 p.m. - Mr. Jaime Fernández González-Granada, the Technical Head at AENOR, will present a paper in which he lists the most important aspects of certification.
• 12.45 p.m. – Mr. Gonzalo Medina, the Technical Secretary on the Kitchen Furniture Certification Committee, will provide additional information regarding the management of the AENOR Seal and various technical aspects.
• 1.00 p.m. - Paolo Boffi, President of the European Furniture Industry Confederation (EFIC), will talk about the innovation and design process that has been pursued over the last few years, based on his own particular vision: "From the American Kitchen to the European Kitchen: 50 Years of History Through Innovation and Design".
• 1.40 p.m. - A Relaxed Discussion Accompanied by a Glass of Wine

Paolo Boffi's presence will highlight the importance of the strong delegation of Italian manufacturers participating at this edition of SICI, which is due to take place between 16th and 20th October in Halls 7 and 9 at Feria de Madrid.
