Sicur 08: Voice Alarm Notification System E100 by Siemens

Sicur 08: The E100 is an evacuation notification system for saving lives, designed to provide voice messages and to allow a fast, safe and reliable evacuation process. This system has been conceived from its beginnings as an emergency evacuation system, therefore it adopts extra characteristics that are not found in conventional public-address systems on the market. In addition to its fool-proof design in an emergency, the E100 system includes all the characteristics that any public-address system incorporates.

E100 is a system with eight digital channels that allows multiple messages to be delivered to different areas. In this way, a building may benefit from evacuation by phases where the occupants who run a more immediate risk may be evacuated first, whilst the occupants who are in safer areas may be warned of an incident, but telling them to remain where they are and to wait for more information.

The modular design of the E100 offers a high degree of adaptability and the powerful configuration tool allows the system to satisfy the most difficult scenarios in an accurate way. Likewise, it may be configured as a centralised system, or distributed out with several panels using a network, reducing the wiring costs and increasing the system's integrity.

In addition to being able to store pre-recorded messages and tones, the E100 can feature emergency loudspeaker microphones connected to it. These allow the operators to send specific up-dated messages to the necessary areas. This function normally receives a higher priority than the recorded messages. The microphones are totally supervised.

The E100 may be fitted with an integral fire telephone system. This allows two-way communication to be ensured between the fire control room and the remote areas. In addition to the previously mentioned emergency functions, it is possible to add paging microphones to send non-emergency informative messages to the necessary areas. The priority is lower than the emergency public-address system and than the pre-recorded emergency messages and tones.
