For the Government representative, “in a globalised environment such as the current one, the logistics sector has gained a determining role and its correct management is an added value and a competitive factor for companies”. To close his speech, the Minister wished to highlight “the importance of the SIL as a European referent in the sector” and recognised the work of the institutions that make it possible.
The second edition of the Logistics Night, which, as in previous editions, brought together the most outstanding managers and professionals of the logistics sector, was the stage to the awarding of the Second SIL Awards. Finally, the SIL Award for Journalism highlighted the work of the newspaper La Razón. Its Publications Manager, José Antonio Vera, was entrusted with receiving the prize, which was given by Enrique Lacalle, the President of the SIL.
In the prize-giving ceremony, which was sponsored by Renfe, the President of the SIL, Enrique Lacalle, insisted on “the considerable development of the exhibition, which in just 10 years has grown from 10,000 to 70,000m2” and which, in this edition, has brought together over 900 exhibitors (40% foreign). The members of the jury, and those entrusted with giving the prizes, coincided in highlighting the key role of logistics in the economic development of a country and the importance that the SIL has gained in the European fair panorama.
The Logistics Night, this year in its second edition, once more gathered the main agents of the sectors and the large attendance confirmed the success achieved in the previous edition and confirmed this meeting as one not to be missed.
