SIL 2007: With more than 48.000 visitors the 9th edition of SIL was a success

The SIL 2007 breaks new records sustained by companies and professionals from 4 continents The SIL 2008 will take place from the 3rd to the 6th of June 2008 in Gran Via Fira de Barcelona Exhibition Center

The International Logistics and Material Handling Exhibition will close its doors today honoring its theme for the current edition: 9 years breaking records. Enrique Lacalle, President of the Exhibition organized by El Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona, which is chaired by Manuel Royes, has stated today that the SIL 2007 “has defied again all expectations and has been visited by more than 48,000 professionals of the sector”, consolidating its position as a point of reference for the logistics sector. The Exhibition walks towards its tenth anniversary as the second most important logistics meeting point in Europe.  

The estimated total amount of business has been of 2,000 million euros.

At the closing of the 9th edition, Enrique Lacalle, president of the International Logistics & Material Handling exhibition, has made a positive evaluation on its evolution and has shared the enthusiasm of the Organizing Committee in view of the 2008 Exhibition. The SIL will celebrate its 10th anniversary next year, as a new prove of the importance of the logistics sector, one of the main growth motors in the current Spanish economy.
