A larger number of designers will participate at the LatinoAméricaFashion Show The third edition of the LatinoAméricaFashion Show will take place on 1st and 2nd September next, over the course of the first few days of the fifty-sixth edition of SIMM. On the first anniversary of its creation, LatinoAméricaFashion will consolidate its role as a forum for prestigious Latin design, based on a number of new contributions that will enrich its presentation. Thus, the programme at this edition will feature four fashion parades, compared to just one at the two previous editions, as well as bringing together designers of higher profile. The programme will also include men´s fashion and incorporate Portugal as a participating country. SIMM set up this initiative back in September 2005, taking advantage of the interesting cutting-edge creations produced by innovative Latin American designers, an unprecedented development in the fashion history of these countries. Just one year on, this forum, which has become a gateway for Latin American designers in Europe, has established itself as an ideal means of promoting Latin design in Europe and throughout the rest of the world. The fashion shows programme for LatinoAméricaFashion will commence on Friday 1st September, at 1.30 p.m., on the day SIMM is inaugurated, with a collective event featuring the participation of Latin American names as prestigious as Melk Z-Da (Brazil), Isabel Henao (Colombia) and Julia y Renata (Mexico). Furthermore, there will be three solo fashion parades. The first, which will present the collections of Olga Piedrahita (Colombia), will take place at 7.00 p.m. on Friday 1st September. On Saturday 2nd September, visitors will be able to enjoy the fashion parades presented by Miguel Vieira (Portugal), at 1.00 p.m., and Maxime Perelmuter (Brazil), at 7.00 p.m., both presenting fashion ideas for men and women. All of the fashion shows will take place in Hall 5 at Feria de Madrid. Clothes Manufacturing and Design: An Increasingly Close Collaboration The fifty-sixth edition of SIMM will occupy Halls 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 at Feria de Madrid. Cutting-edge design will play a leading role at the fair over a period of three days, based on the participation of a number of well-established Spanish and international creators, as well as the attendance of the Association of National Designers (ADÑ). This association, recently founded, is made up of a number of well-known names within the field of Spanish fashion, such as Antonio Alvarado, Ion Fiz, Locking Shocking, Carlos Díez, Juanjo Oliva, Rocabert, Carmen March and La Casita de Wendy.
