Satisfaction among the exhibitors at the twelfth edition of Textilmoda

The event was staged between 28th February and 2nd March 2007, at Feria de Madrid With regard to September, the majority of the companies have already confirmed their attendance, whilst a number of new companies have expressed an interest in participating at the fair

TEXTILMODA, the International Textile Fashion Show, concluded its twelfth edition in the midst of a buoyant and optimistic trade climate. This edition, which took place between 28th February and 2nd March, was characterised by the fact that it took place within a highly favourable business climate, one that surpassed the initial expectations of the exhibitors. With regard to the September edition, the majority of the exhibitors have already confirmed their attendance, whilst a number of new companies have expressed an interest in participating at the event.       

Throughout the course of its twelfth edition, TEXTILMODA welcomed some 1,551 buyers of a high professional profile. As regards to Spanish visitors, Madrid contributed with 702, Andalusia, with 159; Valencia Region, with 121; Catalonia, with 108, and Galicia, with 69. A significant number of professionals attended the fair from Catalonia, in spite of the fact that this edition of Textilmoda coincided with the staging of other textile fairs in Barcelona. From the international field, the fair welcomed some 94 foreign buyers, of whom 48% were Portuguese. The remaining number attended the fair mainly from the EU countries.

This fair, which is one of the largest international events for the textile industry in Spain, brought together 90 exhibitors in the connecting area in Hall 1 at Feria de Madrid. 50 per cent of these exhibitors were foreign, attending the event from 13 different countries.  This high level of participation on the part of companies from abroad once again strengthened the foreign dimension at the fair, confirming this aspect of the event as one of its most promising channels for growth in the future. Thus, alongside the Spanish companies, a number of leading brands from Germany, Belgium, Bulgaria, Slovenia, France, Italy, Holland, Portugal, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Turkey and Russia also presented their collections at the fair.

Thousands of Ideas in Textiles and Adornments

Thousands of ideas in textiles and adornments for Spring-Summer 2008 made up the exhibition at this edition of TEXTILMODA, which also confirmed its role as an indispensable trade event for clothing manufacturers, purchasing heads at leading retail chains, wholesalers, textile retailers, agents and stylists.
