The showcase for the jewellery industry in Madrid
Iberjoya September 2006 This fair has become one of the most firmly established international events within the industry. This event constitutes a strategic business forum based on the direct participation of more than 550 Spanish and foreign companies and the attendance of some 21,351 professionals.
Between 14th and 18th September Madrid will become a strategic business forum for the jewellery industry with the staging of IBERJOYA, the International Jewellery, Silverware, Watch and Related Industries Exhibition, an event organized by IFEMA with the collaboration of the Jewellers and Silversmiths’ Guild of Madrid, and the Spanish Association of Jewellers, Silversmiths and Watch-Makers, that will bring together the products of over 550 companies in Halls 8 and 10 at the FERIA DE MADRID. IBERJOYA will once again achieve record levels of business representation at this edition through the direct participation of the leading manufacturers, designers and Spanish importers and that of more than 150 foreign companies from all five continents. This important business forum for promoting trade activity is one of the most firmly established international events within the industry. This much is obvious from the fair's last edition, which featured a level of foreign participation close to 30% of the total. Furthermore, the event welcomed nearly 1,600 buyers from abroad. One of the key aspects of this event is its growing international stature, the result of wide-ranging promotional campaigns abroad implemented by the fair's organizers. Among these measures, we might highlight the International Guest Programme, which, over the years, has proven to be a highly effective initiative, providing a key form of support for those companies interested in extending or establishing links in new areas of business. Another of the characteristics of this event is its wide geographical scope, welcoming as it does visitors from all parts of Spain. In fact, 77% of the professionals at the fair attend the event from outside Madrid, with the majority of the buyers travelling from Andalusia, the Valencian Region, Catalonia, Castile-Leon, Galicia, Castile-La Mancha and the Basque Country. The total attendance figure at the last edition came to 21,351 professionals. The creativity and the extensive range of presented by IBERJOYA in each of its sections - jewellery, silverware, time-pieces and related industries -, as well as the increasing adaptation of new products in accordance with consumer tastes, the creation of innovative designs and the excellent selection of items presented by the exhibiting companies in order to offer the trade a true reflection of current international trends, all make this fair one of the leading trade events for the industry on the European calendar. Another of the great attractions of IBERJOYA is its strong promotion of the fashion dimension at the exhibition. At the September edition, alongside the extensive range of products on show at the stands, the fair will stage the FIFTH IBERJOYA TRENDS FASHION PARADE, a special exhibition that will highlight a selection of jewellery and timepiece creations that are likely to set the trend in terms of design, shape, material and colours for next season. IBERJOYA will also provide a setting for the presentation of various exhibitions and trade meetings, constituting a focal point for all cultural, financial and social aspects associated to the jewellery industry. Thus, this edition will stage the traditional IBERJOYA Gala Dinner as well as other events at which exhibitors and clients will have the opportunity to establish closer links within a relaxed and entertaining environment. IBERJOYA will be staged to coincide with INTERGIFT, the International Gift Fair and BISUTEX, the Fashion Jewellery and Accessories Trade Fair. These three events, leaders in their respective sectors, aimed exclusively at the trade, will bring together the products and services of over 2,200 exhibiting companies.
