The CULTURAL CORPORATION OF STATION MAPOCHO, is a private institution without profit goals that runs the CULTURAL CENTER STATION MAPOCHO, the greatest and most important cultural center of Chile. With a surface of more than twenty thousand square meters, in four different levels, one is located in the old railway station, constructed for the celebrations of the Centenary of the Republic. It was designed by Emilio Jecquier and declared National Monument in 1976. It has, apart from it´s doubtless architectonic quality, an enormous historical, patrimonial and emotional value for the Chileans.

The Cultural Center Station Mapocho, the most important cultural center of the country, consists of four levels: Underground level, First Level, Second Level, Third Level.

Nowadays, at a century of its construction, this old train station maintains the protagonism that it had in his beginnings, with it´s monumental location within the city, continues being an encounter place for his visitors.
